The aim of Histoglyph is to turn historical knowledge into short, accessible challenges that encourage curiosity. By connecting people to the places where they lived, the years that shaped their lives and the wider periods they belonged to, Histoglyph helps players build a clearer picture of history rather than memorising isolated facts.

Histoglyph is designed as a growing collection of historical games. New people, collections and game modes can be added over time, covering different regions, periods and themes while keeping the experience simple and approachable.

Histoglyph stores each person as a connected record: name, life years, places, occupations, portrait and collection tags. The game modes then use different parts of that same record. This makes the map, chronology and portrait challenges different views of the same underlying historical information.

Dates, place names and historical classifications can be uncertain or change as records are improved. If you notice a factual error, an unclear location or an image attribution that should be corrected, please contact us. We would rather update the record than preserve a mistake.
